Gascade: Yamal–Europe gas pumping more than doubles on Tuesday

MOSCOW, Nov 9 (PRIME) -- Natural gas pumping through the Yamal–Europe pipeline to Germany more than doubled to 850,000 cubic meters per hour on Tuesday from 330,000–365,000 cubic meters per hour on Monday, German gas transmission system operator Gascade said.

Direct pumping to Germany from Poland through the pipeline was suspended from October 30 through November 3, resumed on November 4, and suspended again on November 6 before being restarted on Monday evening.

The 33 billion cubic meter Yamal–Europe pipeline runs to Germany from Russia through Belarus and Poland. Gas giant Gazprom said previously that fluctuations in demand for Russian gas in Europe depend on the consumer needs, and that the company fulfilled all requests from the European companies.
